California, Los angeles, 90001 Los angeles USAJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's dynamic finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical skills and thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and ledger functions.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring proper recording of transactions and reconciliations.Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and readily available.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes.Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparing and submitting tax returns and liaising with tax authorities.Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and increase efficiency.Internal Controls: Ensure that all financial controls are operating effectively and recommend enhancements as needed.Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, reviewing their work and ensuring accuracy.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldExperience: 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.Technical Skills:Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).Familiarity with financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to lead and work as part of a team.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
