The Business Intelligence Analyst is part of the team that manages our enterprise Business Intelligence platform, Domo. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work collaboratively across different departments, creating and maintaining analytical tools that help drive our business. The ideal Analyst has strong data experience and a passion for problem solving.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and implement business intelligence strategy and operational process
For example: workforce management; design process and solutions to reduce non-billed overtime; provide guidance and implementation plans for overall quality workforce and compliance management; develop ongoing methodology for quality assurance; delegation of action items
Provide expert level guidance and support to stakeholders to ensure business intelligence tools achieve intended goals; align with leaders on project rollouts; develop training materials
Formulate and affect operating practices by utilizing intelligence tools to detect deficiencies and designing tools and processes to achieve resolution
Provide consultation and/or expert advice to management; review new platform tools and provide guidance to leadership on how best to integrate new tools/features, manage integration process as well as roll-out of new features
Develop quality assurance process relating to business intelligence reporting; conduct reviews of output; consult with end users, implement resolution to any deficiencies
Collaborate with business leaders to design new analytical tools and develop strong understanding of Allied Universal data
Develop reporting and analytics to identify opportunities for process improvement; provide expert-level advice on the implementation of operational process; continual refinement of analytics to drive operational excellence
Research industry trends regarding analytics tools; identify areas of potential improvement; participate in review of analytics options and improvements with intelligence platform vendor
Build rapid prototypes of extract, transform, load (ETLs) and end-user reports
Move business intelligence report prototypes through to permanent production content
Provide quality end-user support across the full Business Intelligence platform
Complete ad-hoc troubleshooting of tooling and platforms as needed
Actively participate in internal Business Intelligence community meetings, acting as a subject-matter expert on platform-based topics
Support department leadership in setting and meeting milestone deadlines on projects; partner with colleagues on project tasks; collaborate and/or lead the delegation of work to others
Collaborate with other Business Intelligence department teams on joint projects and workflows
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or business-related degree
Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience (education or professional) in each of the following:
Prior project-based experience working on multi-person project plans
Experience including basic relational database queries, multi-dimensional environment administration, and data integration maintenance
Working knowledge of basic data query and manipulation concepts/languages
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments while effectively manage deadlines
Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and be able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
Outstanding oral and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience creating content in a Business Intelligence platform
