The Account Manager - Business Development role is an in-office role (no hybrid/no remote) and will generate and secure new business in a professional environment with a focus on business-to-business opportunities for the following types of key account customers across the industry: Distributors, Name brands, Multi-State and Vertically integrated Operators. Responsibilities would include seeking, identifying, assessing, and prospecting new business opportunities for key clients, closing, and growing new business sales revenue with key clients, building and fostering meaningful relationships with key account customers, and collaborating with and influencing internal and external stakeholders to support and facilitate business development and revenue growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above educational background is required.

Demonstrated success and experience in the business and sales development and management segment working with high-level customers.

Proven ability to sell creative solutions to high-level customer personnel.

Proven track record of acquiring and closing new business wins.

Solid business judgment.

Highly effective negotiation skills.

Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills.

Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills with a good orientation to detail.

Highly self-motivated, result-driven, goal-oriented, and desire to succeed.

Natural problem solver with a consultative solutions-orientated approach.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with initiative while effectively collaborating with the team.

Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to serve customers, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

A sophisticated level of computer proficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and acquire new key accounts via leads, cold-calling, and other strategic selling solutions.

Work on building a new business sales pipeline; working with new leadership tools and initiatives.

Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals as defined by the department leader.

Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer’s needs and expectations, develop and deliver customized and professional tactics for key account customers to meet their unique needs, has a design sense of how to create merchandising solutions that meet key customer’s needs.

Build, cultivate, retain, and grow professional and long-term relationships with key account customers.

Identify and resolve any issues, complaints, and problems faced by key customers.

Identify, analyze, and understand the changing market trends, and discover new and growing opportunities for key clients.

Collaborate with and influence both internal and external stakeholders to foster efficient teamwork and deliver the best quality service to key account customers.

Willingness to travel locally and nationally as needed for customer meetings and trade shows.

Regularly report the work progress and work plans to the department leader using key account metrics.

Perform the other duties that may be assigned by the department leader.

Benefits:
