RN Visit Nurse - Hospice

Hospice of Humboldt is accepting applications for a 3/4-time Visit Nurse.

This 3/4-time position is approximately 32 hours a week and you must be able to work four (4) weekend shifts (four days) per month.

The Visit Nurse provides direct nursing care in patient’s place of residence, under the direction of the Clinical Manager and under physician’s orders. The Visit Nurse must have the ability to adapt to schedule changes and high priority patient needs. Care is provided in collaboration with other Interdisciplinary Group members as described in the patients’ Plan of Care

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

2. Current California Registered Nurse license.

3. Minimum of one year of experience as a professional nurse within the previous three years or equivalent experience in BSN

program.

4. Valid driver’s license, proof of acceptable automobile insurance coverage, and reliable transportation as specified by Hospice of

Humboldt’s policies

5. Demonstrated critical thinking skills and excellent clinical judgment.

6. Reliable mobile phone with plan that provides good local coverage.

7. Basic computer skills and willingness to expand skills as needed.
