Merchant Technical Support Specialist

Synergy Payment Solutions is a Full-Service Credit Card Processing Provider. We supply merchants with wholesale pricing direct from Visa and MasterCard for their discount rate. We supply the merchant with a customized package consisting of terminals, POS, gateways, wholesale pricing, 24 hour merchant support, and a wide array of services, including gift cards and check guarantee services.
Summary
We are currently looking for a confident, energetic, outgoing and tech-savvy candidate to join our merchant support team. Daily duties range from billing/statement questions and addressing any customer service needs of our clients, to high level technical support of point-of-sale systems; including identifying and resolving all support requirements of our merchants.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
Answer inbound technical support calls from our merchants.
Ensure timely and effective resolution of merchant requests.
Manage difficult interactions in a professional manner, and always foster merchant loyalty.
Build and edit download files on devices
Ordering, Programming and shipping devices to merchants
Familiarity with procedures and functions for all supported terminals.
Follow up with new merchants to ensure their setup is completed properly and they utilize the services.
Identify trends and report them to promote continual process improvement.
Perform any other related tasks that are deemed essential to the success of the company and the satisfaction of our merchants.
Qualifications (Skills/Experience)
Transportation a must!
Demonstrates strong tact, discretion, and ethics, is a team player.
Understanding of transnational services, merchant accounts and/or the credit card processing industry
Able to ‘’think outside the box’’, and to be creative in introducing new ideas.
Able to perform under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
Takes initiative and responsibility for the quality of their work.
Possesses outstanding customer service skills.
Excellent communications skills (written and spoken) in English (and Spanish, is a plus).
Advanced computer, typing, and MS Office suite skills.
1-2 year Prior experience of payment card industry
Compensation
$17 to $20 Hourly / DOE
