Our luxury home remodeling company needs an experienced Project Manager new and existing construction project. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, able to prioritize in a shifting environment, coordinate the bid process and manage subcontractors. The Project Superintendent’s job is to oversee each project from conception to the finished structure, interact with subcontractors and the client.
Reliable transportation is a must as our projects are located throughout Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Phoenix. Previous custom home remodeling experience is required. The job includes both hands-on and administrative duties.
Desired Skills:
Communication – ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the clients, subcontractors, business owners. Respond promptly to all client communications.
Working knowledge of Co-Construct project management software.
Primary responsibilities are:
Scheduling – managing the construction schedule is a priority. We build and remodel luxury homes for our clients. We pride ourselves on the quality of work performed while managing the timeline of the construction project. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Managing subcontractors and collecting bids – we are looking for a highly skilled project manager who can manage subcontractors on a variety of projects simultaneously. At the same time, you will be collecting bids from subs for upcoming projects and providing those bids to the business owner for consideration. Supervise the work of laborers, subs, etc. and give guidance as needed.
Manage the company safety program to ensure a safe working environment. Coordinate weekly safety meetings. We have a third-party vendor who can help facilitate the overall safety program. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Various other tasks and responsibilities
Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle need
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Required Background/Experience:
5+ years’ experience in residential building and construction
Prior construction management experience desired
Ability to read blueprints and plan sets is a plus
Understanding of risk management policies and procedures
Experience managing budgets for large complex construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
Can do attitude. Ability to think on your feet and switch priorities frequently
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
A team player with leadership abilities
Salary range: $65,000-$75,000/year depending on experience and qualifications plus completion point bonuses
