The Referral and Authorization Lead position acts as the first level of leadership support of daily departmental operations and responding to patient concerns to ensure the delivery of effective patient experiences with an emphasis on first contact resolution in a culture of yes. The Referral and Authorization Lead will support the training and education of fellow team members in the core functional areas supported by a Referral and Authorization Specialists. The Referral and Authorization Lead coordinates technical support for team members and ensuring the needs of our patients physicians other clinic staff internal and external laboratory and imaging staff hospital staff patient family members and vendors from multiple locations and specialties are supported by all team members across all business hours. In addition the Referral and Authorization Lead role includes performing complex specialized function-related administrative tasks and the coordination of a variety of programs. A Referral and Authorization Lead supports the ongoing continuous improvement of individual and department performance ensuring patients have accurate and complete referrals to ensure timely access to care and support removing authorization barriers. The Referral and Authorization Lead ensures registration scheduling eligibility and verification processes are followed across multiple platforms and systems and supports the implementation of optimizations as they are identified.QualificationsMinimum:

Must live in AZ, NV, or TX

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of five (5) years experience in Medical Office or other healthcare environment.

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Familiar with coding

Preferred:

Bi-lingual preferred.

Familiarity with the referral/authorization process and interacting with insurance carriers is preferred
