Distributor Sales Representative

We are searching for a driven, hardworking individual to join our Electrical Distribution team and learn our business from the ground up.

While an electrical background will give you a head start, it is not required. Responsibilities will include a rotation through warehouse and counter sales to familiarize yourself with our business and processes. Should you excel in this role, you will support our existing sales staff with the potential to take on an outside sales territory. As a supplier for our customers, our business-to-business sales tend to be close, consultative, account management relationships, as opposed to high-volume cold calling.

CED is an industry leader in the electrical wholesale market, with over 700 locations nationwide. This position is with the CED Sheridan location and offers a long-term position with high growth incentives.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service in every role
• Build relationships and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers over the phone and in-person in a friendly and professional manner
• Support all aspects of the business including counter sales and warehouse duties
• Support existing sales staff including sourcing and quoting products and projects
• Meet commitment deadlines to customers and co-workers with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment
• Perform processes and handle paperwork in a detailed manner consistent with CED policy
• Make deliveries in the company truck (CDL NOT REQUIRED)

• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials throughout the warehouse; including, but not limited to, lifting materials weighing up to 70 pounds
• Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts
