Mortgage Loan Processor

Mortgage Loan Processor will report directly to the Vice President of Mortgage Lending. Mortgage Loan Processor will also work closely with the Mortgage Loan Originators and Underwriters. They must have excellent skills with attention to detail, good verbal and written communications along with maintaining outstanding public relationships with all parties involved in the transaction. The processor must use the Jonah Code each day to be the fullest to perform their absolute best in their daily duties and interactions by “Taking Pride in Your Work”. Personal commitment to the Jonah Code through actions, decisions and daily interactions with other staff members is of the utmost importance. Jonah Bank is a small community bank and this position requires continued flexibility while roles and responsibilities evolve as the bank grows.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Compile Complete and Accurate Mortgage Loan Files
• Send Mortgage Loan Files to Underwriting for Approval
• Utilize Time Efficiently to Meet Timelines throughout the Loan File Process
• Order and Review:

• Appraisals
• Title Work
• Flood Determination
• Hazard Insurance
• True Alert Scores
• Credit Information

• Verify:

• Assets
• Income
• Length of Employment
• Liabilities

• Promote good relationships with Customers

Requirements

Background in a mortgage environment with a thorough understanding of the mortgage functions to include many aspects of mortgage operations.

Computer Skills

Strong computer skills are required for this position as responsibilities encompass the use of multiple systems and their functions. Knowledge of Excel and Word is a must.

Communication Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to communicate effectively and comfortably with all departments and management levels of the bank. Strong interpersonal skills are required in order to build an atmosphere of mutual respect and teamwork, while supporting the current and long range objectives of the bank.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
