Miss Molly's Cafe Line/Prep Cook

A minimum of one year of experience is required. Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills are required. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating excellent food, is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic and enjoys a positive work environment. Daytime hours and weekend availability required.

This position has a set schedule of 7:30am-3:30pm Wednesday - Sunday. We offer highly competitive pay, set schedules, paid time off, and all major holidays off of work. Please, only serious applicants with qualifying skills and experience need apply, we are looking for the right fit for our team!

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Execute menu items to order during service while maintaining food quality standards, sanitation, and ticket times.

-Set up and stock stations using company checklists.

-Strong communication skills, we are a small team and it is imperative that our staff can communicate effectively on a daily basis

- Preparation of menu item components while strictly following standardized recipes. Each cook is responsible for the preparation of the components on the station they are assigned to work. Prep includes but is not limited to: poaching eggs, scrambling eggs, basic knife work etc. Each cook is expected to maintain prep during downtime in between producing tickets.

- Strong attention to detail to ensure food is consistently prepared and plated.

- Assist with putting orders away, maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas.

- Help maintain cleanliness of kitchen and kitchen equipment, this includes dish washing on weekdays.

-Must be able to multitask and work quickly.

- Food handler's certification is preferred, but not required

- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time

- Must speak English

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour or BOE

Expected hours: 40 per week
