Horse Farm seeks part-time person or people to help in all aspects of running and maintaining a beautiful 20 horse training and breeding farm.

You can tailor this job to your own set of skills and goals to some degree, but you must be absolutely reliable and accountable for your work as assigned, have an energetic and cheerful attitude, and have experience and confidence around horses.

Duties include basic chores including feeding, cleaning and bedding 16 stalls, basic farm maintenance as it comes up, and a large array of other potential opportunities, including grooming, helping to handle horses for groundwork, and potentially riding (not a requirement though).

I may be looking for a handyman type who happens to also be good around horses or I may be looking for a horseman type who also happens to be reasonably handy when it comes to maintenance. I am very willing and happy to tailor duties to an employee's skill set if the employee has the right work ethic and reliability,

You will be part of a fun and supportive staff. We have a great crew!

Hours and days can be flexible for the right person. Some weekends required but not all. Part time 2 to 4 flexible days per week.

Pay dependent on experience and efficiency and level of commitment you are willing to make, but generally starting at a minimum of $13.50 an hour for part time probationary period. Higher pay for more experienced, more skilled, and more available employees.

Must be physically fit and able to follow written instructions carefully. Great opportunity for a student or a stay at home parent who has mornings free, or anyone else with a few hours to fill each week doing something good for the body and soul, such as a semi retired individual. Also a great choice for someone who wants a career with horses.
