We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Knowledge Management Intern to join our team!

As a Knowledge Management Intern, you will play a crucial role in organizing, maintaining, and publishing valuable knowledge resources within Altra’s online training manual. You will develop and update content of the different online training manuals through individual efforts and team collaborations.

This role involves analyzing various topics to create easily understandable documentation for a wide audience, ultimately aiding in Altra’s success and expansion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the Site Content Library of the Online Training Manual

Foster creative thinking to generate new and fresh ideas for content and workflow improvements

Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure accurate coverage of specialized subjects

Analyze information necessary for developing or revising policy, procedure, and form documentation.

Support ad-hoc projects related to knowledge management and organizational learning

Communicate weekly updates via the Policies/Procedures and Talent Development Blogs

Support the creation of eLearning quizzes for the Teller and Retail areas

The Knowledge Management Intern position is a part-time temporary position; 15-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the operating hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Working hours would be based on students’ school schedule and availability.

The internship will be nine (9) to twelve (12) months in length, starting Fall 2024. The internship could be extended for additional time beyond the scheduled timeframe, with mutual consent from Altra and the student and depending on the workload needs, hours of availability of the student and the student’s status in school. This internship will take place at Altra’s Operations Center in Onalaska WI.

To be considered for the Knowledge Management Intern position, you are required to have a High School diploma, GED or HSED and must be a current student pursuing a college or technical degree for consideration into the internship program. Altra would prefer you have a minimum one (1) year of office, financial institution, or customer service experience.

In this position, you must have the ability to strategize, communicate, make decisions, work with diverse people and be able to multitask and troubleshoot. Be proficient in O365 product suite and can work creatively, collaboratively, and independently. Must be able to effectively communicate in visual, oral, and written form, and have strong organizational skills.

Pay and Benefits:

When bilingual in Spanish or Hmong, receive a $1.00 / hour pay premium after completing and passing the language exam.

Experience
