WHY IS SELLING CARS SUCH AN EXTRAORDINARY CAREER?

1. Because it is recession proof. Even during the most trying of economic times or a pandemic, people still need and will buy cars.

2. Salaries are above average. And manager's salaries are way above average for the skills they bring and for their average educational background. A managers salary is staggering large.

3. The work environment is generally clean and comfortable. You get to dress nice and go off each day to a professional job!

4. You work largely unsupervised and don't have anyone breathing down your neck or micro-managing you. Just do your work!

5. The skills you develop are portable, meaning you can move to any city in the country and become employed in an above average paying job in seven days.

4. The people who work in this field today are not well trained. They treat their work as a job and not a career. To these people j.o.b. stands for Just Over Broke. So for people like you who are reading this and are committed to a professional career, you will be more successful, make more money, and get promoted to that manager position.

5. For people who are entrepreneurial selling cars represents the very, very, very best small business you could be in. You are functionally a business-within-a-business.

THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY

According to the industry trade association, NADA, the automotive industry has a 70% turnover of sales people nationally every year. Is it because the job is that difficult? Not even close to being difficult. The reasons this industry turns over staff in high numbers are:

1. Managers are promoted to that position because they were really good at selling cars, and most have absolutely no training or education in supervision and management. Regardless of the industry, people join a company and leave a boss. This lack of leadership skills and education is primarily responsible for the high turnover.

2. Poorly trained managers teach old school sales nonsense that didn't work in the 90's and sure as heck don't work in the internet-age. I'll hear them bark out at the morning meeting "go make phone calls" and "just get them in here and I'll close them". I'll train you to prepare for a managers position and you will know more, and produce better results, than 99% of the people in the industry today.

WHY ADVERTISE ON CRAIGSLIST?

Because I have retired from airports and hotels, and now working from home and in this region only. If I can drive to a dealership and be home tomorrow, I'll help you. The motivation to post this ad came from a meeting I had recently where a General Manager of a dealership said of his high employee turnover and modest sales success "That's the car business". I've heard this 1,000 times over the past twenty years. What he really meant to say is "I don't know how to handle these business situations. I surrender and accept them and the diminished sales performance they bring".

WHO AM I?

I am a "car guy", and was a college professor for over twenty years, and for the last twenty years I have traveled the country teaching sales and sales leadership in hundreds of dealerships, and to thousands of sales professionals across the country. I developed a dealership training program based on business-science that I taught at the college level. I've also started, built, and sold for a profit three successful businesses along the way. This is not an experiment for me.

I WANT TO HELP YOU

I am sincere in wanting to help you. I don't HAVE to go to work; I GET to go to work today. I love what I do, and I love helping people and organizations reach the next level of success.

1. If you are an individual and you work in or are considering a new position is car sales, respond and we can talk.

2. If you are a dealership and you know there is more available than what the team is producing, respond and let's get started in moving that team to the next level.

DOES IT COST MONEY?

If it is free, then what could it be worth? For lunch-money you can receive the most effective career coaching available anywhere in the industry, at any cost. I want to be helpful, and 100% of the time dealership owners call this program the best training ever. Auto industry training company's charge thousands of dollars for a remake of old school nonsense that does not work. You don't have time for that kind of silliness. For $49 you'll know more, and be better prepared for this sales career, than anyone working in a dealership anywhere in this market.

This is college-level learning. Whether you a personally interested or a dealership seeking to train your entire team, the cost is not a reason to overlook this opportunity.

2025 CAN BE YOUR BEST YEAR EVER. HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND I WISH YOU CONTINUED SUCCESS
