Who you are: You have a true passion for Machining, a desire to take your craft to the next level using all of the tools and equipment you’ve always wanted, and the ability to take what you see on design prints and bring them to life.
Posted Position: This Machinist role is critical for Van Doren Sales to support our customers and to maintain our position as the market leader. On a daily basis you will be working with your hands machining parts and assemblies. To be successful in the role, this person must be self-driven, motivated and able to follow detailed instructions. In this position, you report directly to the Production Manager. Responsibilities:
Set up and operate a variety of machining tools to produce precision parts.
Interpret engineering drawings and tolerance specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Monitor machinery performance and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency.
Inspect machined parts and materials to verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering Departments to optimize processes.
Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD)
Preferred skills:
Have a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical systems.
Vocational training or apprenticeship in machining field.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Basic computer skills
