JOB TITLE:  Front Desk

Reports to: Director of Development

Fulltime- Hourly Nonexempt

The Wenatchee Rescue Mission is a Christian ministry dedicated to serving the homeless, poor, and addicted in our community. By meeting physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs, our Mission is changing lives!

The Wenatchee Rescue Missions Chaplain Department provides exceptional spiritual care, non-therapeutic counseling, case management support, and general services to our clients and guests. Our goal is to invite people to the love of Jesus by being conduits of hope through humility.

General Purpose:

Minimum Qualifications:   The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.  Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based on the department size and/or geographic location.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience in a similar role.

Prior homeless shelter experience preferred

Responsibilities

Answer and forward phone calls.

Serve visitors and guests by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.

Notify relevant employees when visitors arrive.

Answer visitors’ questions, calls, and emails, and provide them with the relevant information requested.

Maintain visitor, employee, and department directories and logs.

Follow security procedures, such as monitoring the logbook and issuing visitor badges as needed.

Organize the reception area while complying with office procedures, rules, and regulations.

Arrange meetings, schedules, and travel accommodations for senior staff.

Keep a record of office supply inventory.

Sign for deliveries and ensure all mail and packages are distributed accordingly.

Call 911 for emergencies within the organization.

Receive and record financial and GIK donations

Maintain all fliers, pamphlets, and other relevant information

Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed

Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers; manual dexterity is required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment.

Local travels as required to meet accountabilities.

The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated.  Noise levels are considered low to moderate.

Salary Description:

$18.50 per hour
