Custodian Needed

WSU Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center in Wenatchee, WA is searching for a full time/permanent Custodian. This position is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Wenatchee Center including the USDA leased space including lease language that increases scheduled services. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: cleaning windows, mirrors, handrails, cabinets, fountains, machines/equipment, restrooms; vacuuming/shampooing carpets and mats; sweeping/mopping/waxing floors and stairs; securing buildings; performing minor carpentry and electrical repairs; cleaning and painting surfaces; performing minor repairs on electrical circuits, plumbing fixtures, lights, partitions, and clogged drains; assisting with snow removal around facilities; replacing light bulbs; and performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include the ability to read and write and six (6) months experience in related work. Equivalent education and experience acceptable. Preferred qualifications are demonstrated attention to detail and ability to read and write in English. Position posting will close 8/18/24 at 11:59 pm. Monthly Salary: $3,028.00 - $3,999.00 | Range 34 | Steps A - M

Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
