  • Lead the Fleet management function across four trucking companies. Provide expert knowledge and guidance to Operation locations to assist them in their Fleet Safety and regulatory compliance efforts. As directed, responsible for research and development in the areas of fleet safety initiatives, risk analysis, and development of programs, policies, and processes for the reduction of fleet accidents, injuries, and maintenance of regulatory compliance within the supported region.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage fleets of all four companies150+ Vehicles
  • Assist inschedulingmaintenance, and repairs on vehicles
  • Establish relationships and work with vendors for lease, rental, and repairs
  • Track maintenance on ownership vehicles
  • Run and submit all reports including but not limited to IFTA, Fuel, Mileage tracking
  • Manage fleet invoices
  • Track and manage ELD and Camera devicesusing Samsara
  • Work with the Safety department to track and manage driver habits, accidents, claims, and repairs
  • Manage insurance on vehicles including adding and removing them from the policy
  • Develop a strategy for decreasing vehicle cost
  • Follow all vehicle regulations and laws
  • Develop procedures for fleet accident and injury prevention activities/efforts identified in accident reports and historical analysis
  • Regulatory & Policy Compliance
  • Participate in investigation of serious accidents.
  • Provide technical guidance, expertise, and assistance to on-site personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive Fleet management experience, including two years of specialized commercial transportation work.
  • Advanced knowledge of Commercial Motor Vehicle accident and injury prevention principles & techniques,
  • DOT and OSHA regulatory compliance.
  • Vendor experiences with Penske & Ryder
  • Experience with Samsara or similar ELD system
  • Data analysis and the ability to determine appropriate action.
  • Close loop process, appropriate communication and follow up across all level of the organization.
  • Experience in a high expectations job with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in ensuring that Company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Responsibility for Interaction and ensuring appropriate response from vendors.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and then ability to drive the organization to appropriate actions

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary:$55k - $60k; the salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
