Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Product Manager to join the Applied Data Science group located in Tukwila, WA; Arlington, VA; Mesa, AZ; or Berkeley, MO.In the role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at Boeing scale and speed.Our product managers work closely with software developers, data scientists, designers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that Connect, Protect, Explore and Inspire the World with Aerospace Innovation. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users, leading to the delivery of high-value analytics products that provide users and decision-makers with information to drive positive business outcomes.Position Responsibilities:

Performs activities to identify and pursue market opportunities for Information Technology products.

Oversees customer engagements. Develops IT product solution strategy and portfolio.

Oversees creation and approval of business case, product plans and price analysis.

Manages development, resource allocation and scheduling for product requirements.

Consults on plans for entry of IT products in external market.

Consults on value propositions and analysis of customer processes to identify optimal product mix.

Represents/promotes IT products internally and externally.

Adjusts product strategy to meet financial targets.

Defines product vision, manage stakeholder relations and collaborate with users and delivery teams

Maintains the menu of product offerings, create and maintain product roadmaps and prioritized product backlogs

Creates context and clarity for the product team to deliver against product roadmaps

Informs on product decisions with empirical product performance and desirability evidence

Collaborates with stakeholders and business partners to identify and articulate emerging opportunities, mature business case, and scope to connect with the appropriate analytics product menu

Communicates strategy and consistent product messaging to stakeholders and users

Launches new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly

Works collaboratively with software development, data science, legal, compliance, UX, and other teams on cutting edge technologies

Develops innovative solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions

Uncovers and understands customer needs and translate them into requirements with focus on business value outcomes

Ensures requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans meet or exceed expectations

Participates in annual planning process through gathering and providing resource and cost estimates supporting development of product capabilities

Assesses emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage

Follows competitors and conduct capability analysis regularly

Provides internal and customer training on how to use the product

Answers incoming questions about the product and its capabilities

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. 5+ years of experience defining vision, strategy, and outcome-driven product roadmaps

Experience driving product vision and design discussions.

Experience with agile teams and software development.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology or business-related field.

Experience developing analytics

Experience with the AI or Machine Learning field

Experience with Supply Chain and Manufacturing

Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
