Washington, Spokane / coeur d'alene, 99201 Spokane / coeur d'alene USADescriptionUnder the general direction of the Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of laboratory functions, which may include the following: Maintains laboratory supplies by ordering, receiving and stocking them. Answers the telephone and relays messages. Performs general laboratory duties including general cleaning, instrument maintenance, copying, faxing, transcribing and scanning results, and other related duties. Registers patients and accessions specimens into the computer system. Labels, processes and distributes samples. Prints pending logs. Prints, copies and distributes reports depending upon department. Complete other duties specific to each individual department. Follows the principles outlined Compliance/Integrity Program Handbook and adheres to all regulatory requirements for this position.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. H.S. Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
Documentation of a higher education.
Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant course.
BACE (Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam) certificate upon hire.
Computer experience.
Laboratory or related science experience.
