Maintenance Technician
Washington, Seattle-tacoma, 98101 Seattle-tacoma USAA large multifamily residential apartment community is looking for an experienced maintenance person. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, understands the value of time management, possesses mechanical/carpentry skills, is able to work alone or with a team, works well under pressure in a fast paced work environment and is willing to complete any task asked to perform by the maintenance supervisor (including but not limited to trash/grounds pick up).
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to maintenance requests as directed by the maintenance supervisor, performing preventative maintenance and apartment turns, diagnose problems and repairs in the areas of light electrical, plumbing, dry wall, appliances etc., and ensure that work orders are responded to professionally and promptly, providing excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promote a quality living experience for all.
Requirements for this position include a minimum of two (2) years apartment maintenance experience, current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance. Other requirements include proficient verbal and written communication abilities, a polite and professional approach and excellence in customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and flexibility. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week (which may include Saturdays) and the ability to perform emergency on call rotation. Applicant must provide their own tools.
