Heavy Equipment Operator

JOB SUMMARY:

Well-established construction company has an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator. We build custom homes from the ground up, high-end remodels and light commercial work. Seeking an experienced excavator, dozer and skid steer operator.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.

Meet performance and technical standards required to qualify for the position.

Safely operate heavy equipment in and among traffic, overhead utilities, or other potential hazards.

Wear personal protective equipment at all times as required.

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks/procedures per operator's manual.

Responsible for proficient operation of multiple machines.

Assist with training and mentoring of employees.

Have the ability to read and understand grade stakes, and lasers.

Have the ability to use site levels.

Perform PM’s on equipment.

Perform manual labor such as digging or shoveling, assist with placement of pipe and material, or other manual labor duties as assigned.

Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.

Complete other duties as assigned.
