(Contract) Software Verification Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA Description: Our client is currently seeking a (Contract) Software Verification Engineer. This company will give you the opportunity to do challenging but rewarding work in Embedded systems in the Aerospace field!

• Work on the flight software platform
• Develop test tools and test cases supporting development and testing of the avionics system
• Automate and test everything
• Collaborate with an amazing team of engineers to develop tools and workflows that support spaceflight systems
• Actively identify and eliminate issues by implementing robust software solutions
• Continuously improve upon internal infrastructure, tools, and processes

• B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software verification experience
• Python and C/C development experience
• Aerospace system integration and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with safety critical software development and DO-178C and/or other relevant software safety standards.
• Experience building test infrastructure, in particular for testing on target hardware
• Experience with real-time embedded and/or safety-critical software development and debugging
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• or national, U.S. permanent resident (current holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

• Experience working with Linux, Docker, Jenkins, compiler toolchains, and source code management systems
• Working knowledge of communications, TCP/IP and other protocols, packet formats and serialization
• Working knowledge of Configuration Management concepts
