What We Need You to Do
In this role, you’ll drive Topcon’s presence and sales in your territory by connecting construction and surveying professionals with advanced technology that transforms their work. Your key responsibilities will include:
Strategic Sales Execution: Actively promote and sell Topcon’s suite of products to construction and surveying professionals, building relationships with both new and existing clients.
Account Growth & Market Analysis: Identify, cultivate, and expand key client relationships, conducting regular market analysis to stay informed on competitive positioning and new opportunities.
Sales Planning & Forecasting: Develop sales plans and forecasts, tracking KPIs and updating sales strategies to ensure continued growth and market expansion.
Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Prepare compelling proposals, manage bid processes, and negotiate contracts that balance profitability with customer satisfaction.
Event Participation & Industry Networking: Represent Topcon at relevant industry trade shows and conferences, leveraging these opportunities to increase visibility and build a strong network of contacts.
Customer Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and insights, sharing critical data with the team to improve product and sales approaches.
Collaborative Product Development: Partner with cross-functional teams to tailor Topcon’s technology offerings for emerging customer needs and evolving industry standards.
What You Bring to the Table
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring technical expertise, strong sales instincts, and the drive to exceed customer expectations. Our ideal candidate will have:
Relevant Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, with hands-on experience in construction, surveying, civil engineering, or a direct sales role.
Technical & Financial Acumen: Ability to communicate complex technical details in a customer-centric way and to make sound business decisions that drive sales.
Excellent Communication Skills: Skilled in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to listen actively, present effectively, and build trust with clients.
Collaborative & Self-Motivated: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, yet is comfortable taking ownership and leading in a high-stakes sales setting.
Adaptability & Resilience: High energy and endurance, with a willingness to travel frequently and adapt to the fast-paced needs of the industry.
Innovative Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to addressing customer challenges, with a natural curiosity for learning about industry trends and new technology.
Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and capable of mastering new tools and technology as the industry advances.
