Live-In Female Special Needs Caregiver/Salary, Benefits, Free Housing

Perfect opportunity for a paraeducator or caregiver experienced with intellectual/developmental disabilities who wants a lighter load or to keep another part-time job while saving money.

Family is seeking a full-time live-in female caregiver for young adult daughter in two-bedroom Shoreline apartment starting this fall. Direct experience providing care and companionship with people with developmental disabilities is needed. Clear English language skills needed to ensure client can communicate with caregiver well. Client is moderate functioning without mobility issues.

- Salary $2,500-$3,000 per month depending on hours worked (most of salary is tax exempt due to use of Medicaid personal care hours; caregiver can supplement with another part-time job if you wish)

- Housing costs covered - rent, utilities, food & related expenses

- Health insurance benefits

- 20 hours off each week plus every other weekend; 9 paid holidays; 2 weeks paid vacation time

- Having a separate caregiver home is not an option (because of section 8 voucher rules)

This is a shared living model, which functions differently than an adult family home. We can explain this more in a follow-up communication.
