Endodontic Dental Assistant

We are looking for a dental assistant to join our beautiful Endodontic practice overlooking Liberty Bay in Poulsbo. Our specialty office has a more relaxed pace compared with a typical dental office. Our office is open Tuesday - Friday. We seek a friendly assistant who can help keep our office efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent patient care and assist the doctor chairside with procedures. Endodontic assisting requires great attention to detail and staying on top of tasks. We want you to be skilled in providing direct patient care and reliability is a must.

Responsibilities

Welcome and seat in patients

Prepare patients for treatment or exam ensuring their comfort

Take xrays and CBCT images

Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed

Sterilize instruments according to regulations

Assist the doctor through 2-3 procedures a day

Undertake office tasks as instructed

Provide post-operative care instructions

Call to check up on patients

Keep the office clean and well-stocked

Order materials and supplies for office

Confirm appointments

Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Required Skills

Experience as a dental assistant is preferred

Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

Understanding of health & safety regulations

Good computer skills

Excellent communication and people skills

Attention to detail

Well-organized and reliable

High school diploma

Additional certification or training is an asset

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 35 per week
