Store Lead (FT): Position Description:
C&S Store Lead will work directly with the Lead Buyer and General Manager to achieve overall Store goals product/inventory quantities and management of inventory and waste. The C&S Store Lead is the ‘go-to’ store expert, and often the “eyes and ears” of the General Manager and Lead Buyer re in-store specifics. Brief, weekly check-ins will occur with the General Manager and/or Lead Buyer, as well as monthly meetings with the Leadership Team to review inventory, waste, and sales.
Store Lead: Hours and Benefits
Full Time (Floor Shifts + Store Lead tasks)
14-18 hrs/week Admin, 18-21hrs/week floor shifts
Weekend availability required, + either early morning (7am) or evening (til 10pm)
Hourly wage starting at $21/hour (DOE) PLUS GREAT TIPS

Store Lead: Responsibilities
Maintain (and revise as necessary) systems and processes related to stocking, inventory, waste
Adhere to budgets and review sales/waste data in order to inform orders and product mix
Maintain and support inventory, waste, and loss procedures and tracking through POS and supplemental systems/processes
Admin tasks such as taking deposits to/getting change from the bank, categorizing and scanning invoices to Accounting
Monitor delivery dates to keep team prepared for deliveries and ensure new products are entered into the POS system
Ensure that all purchases/deliveries are received and invoices booked properly and communicated with the accountants
Maintain thorough stocking and pricing procedures and ensure stocking standards are met consistently and efficiently
Identify proper controls for stock rotation, quality of food offerings, and proper food quality and safety standards
Work with General Manager and Lead Buyer to drive sales through product mix, sales analysis, promotions, and events
Maintain relationships with food vendors and distributors, understanding ordering procedures, product lines and delivery methods
Communicate clearly and effectively among the C&S Team, vendors, and customers as the primary point of contact for the team.
Provide superior customer service in every interaction (customers, vendors, among the team, everyone!), creating a positive experience all around
Learn about our products in all categories, communicate product knowledge to enhance customer experience and sales
Maintain signage and visual displays as needed and/or as instructed by Leadership, align store displays with seasonal marketing efforts and special events.
Maintain store cleanliness, communicate any maintenance issues to General Manager
Store Lead: Qualities and Requirements
2+ years of Leadership experience that demonstrates time management, initiative, high level of responsibility either in Management, Assistant Management, or related role
2+ years of experience in retail and/or food+beverage service industry operations, including ordering and inventory systems
Preferred experience in grocery/specialty food retail
Knowledge of product ordering and inventory controls
Familiarity with sales data and financial reports
Must be self-motivated and take initiative to see what needs to be done and do it
Strong time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to see the “big picture” and create systems/efficiencies accordingly
Love of good food and community + alignment with C&S Values
Highly motivated, energetic and friendly with a true desire to delight each customer
Strong desire to build community among our customers, team, and vendors
Must have current Food Handler’s Permit and MAST
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Must be comfortable with standing/being on your feet for the length of shift/tasks
