Agile Scrum Master Senior ConsultantAs an Agile Scrum Master - Senior Consultant, you will be responsible to guide cross functional teams to deliver innovative products at market speed using Agile/Scrum principles. Must be able to coach teams and facilitate scrum ceremonies such as release planning, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint demo, sprint review and retrospectives. Ideal candidate must be able to build self-organized, self-governed, sustainable, high performing teams that strive to deliver continuously, look for continuous improvement opportunities and produce highest quality product that delights the customer. The Agile Scrum master should have demonstrated ability to communicate and articulate clearly and to all levels of the organization.Work you'll doThe Agile Scrum Master role involves understanding agile processes, grooming the adoption of agile mindset, partnering with scrum team and leadership, guiding and enforcing the usage of Agile/Scrum values, creating a collaborative environment that increases participation and reduces conflictsMust be able toFacilitate Agile ceremonies

Remove impediments, shields the team from external distractions and minimizes disruptions so the team can deliver on commitments

Facilitate formulation of team working agreements, Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), workflow of user stories

Work closely with the Product owners to maintain a healthy backlog, prioritize backlog, maintain and communicate minimum viable product (MVP)

Coach scrum team to balance technical debt against new feature delivery

Assist teams to write stories that satisfy INVEST criteria and help them size and slice stories when applicable

Assess scrum maturity of the team, draft a plan to coach the team to achieve higher maturity levels without impacting productivity

Build trust among team members by helping teams manage conflicts, challenges, eliminating the culture of blame with an emphasis on problem solving

Create a safe environment for experimentation, innovation and communication

Ensure team has clearly identified goals and measurements to deliver value as planned

Facilitate cross team collaboration and communication

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and shares status

Establish and maintain dashboard that enhances visibility of team progress, team capacity, impediments, defect rate, backlog health, sprint velocity, sprint burn down, release metrics

Learn more about our Systems Engineering practice.QualificationsAgile Scrum Master - Senior Consultants are required to have:Minimum 4 years of relevant consulting or industry experience using Agile delivery methodology

Minimum of 3 years working in an Agile environment as a Scrum Master

Intimate knowledge of Agile and Scrum with proven experience coaching, mentoring and teaching junior Agile practitioners

Experience communicating with leadership (lead through influence)

Experience participating in and facilitating discussions to discover solutions, capturing and transforming business and technology requirements into high-quality User Stories and Acceptance criteria

Must be proficient with Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.) as well as with Internet research tools, presentation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc.

Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, SSM, Lean, Scrum-Kanban and/or Rally)

Travel up to 80% (While 80% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now, or at any time in the future

In addition, successful Agile Scrum Master Senior Consultants will have the following preferred background:Agile Certification (SAFe, PMI ACP)

Product Owner certification (PSPO, CSPO)

Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree in an area of specialization is a plus

Experience with Extreme Programming (XP), TDD/BDD, CI/CD is a plus

Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated experience exercising mature judgment in delicate situations

Should have small team leadership experience with the ability to earn trust while still challenging the team to improve and operate outside its comfort zone in an Agile environment

Experience implementing best practices and standards related to Agile scrum development & testing practices

Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

Experience managing work planning, monitoring, and reporting

Experience managing requirements processes including conducting interviews and documenting requirements

Experience with industry standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies
