The After-Care Clinic at Harborview Medical Center helps you achieve the best possible recovery after you are discharged from Harborview’s Emergency Department.
Our physicians assess patients who require follow-up treatment for many ailments including, but not limited to, hypertension management; newly-diagnosed diabetes; anticoagulation; wound care; orthopedics; general medicine; neurology; and respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
We’re also happy to refer you to primary care providers in the UW Medicine clinic system or other community-based clinics.RESPONSIBLITIES
Reviews clinic schedule daily
Obtains patient demographic information and insurance information
Provides general patient support services
Accepts and processes patient payments
Schedules appointments consistent with patient needs and clinic scheduling guidelines
Communicates information on clinic services to patients, referral agencies, providers, and the community
Communicates basic information to patients such as insurance, parking, driving directions
Reviews daily schedules to identify required medical records.
Reviews and corrects fee sheets on a daily basis as necessary according to clinic guidelinesQUALIFICATIONS
High School graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience in a health care setting OR two years of general office experience OR equivalent education/experienceABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER
