DescriptionAmazon is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to join the Finance Team supporting the Human Resources teams (now renamed as People Experience and Technology). This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners which deliver frustration-free HR support to Amazon employees. The role involves interaction with HR leadership and Finance leadership requiring strong communication and business partnering skills.Additional locations for this role includes the Amazon offices located in Seattle, WA; Arlington VA.Key job responsibilities

Participate in Amazon's close, forecast, and annual operating plan processes

Partner with the business teams, to provide cost trends, Headcount management, business and financial metrics, defect elimination and productivity and variance to plan

Drive insight into monthly reporting (Headcount, OpEx, Metrics)

perform financial and ad hoc analyses using advanced Excel functionality and providing recommendations based on results

Build and maintain partnerships with other financial teams.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with stakeholders

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

MBA, or CPA

3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
