The Digital Planning, Strategy & Process Team drives efforts to support the overall N ordstrom .com experience, working cross- functionally to help support the evaluation of merchandise priorities, develop process efficiencies, and build out reporting need s . The Sr Business Analyst will support the advancement of the N .com Digital Merchandising Team , with a focus on digital funnel metric analysis and optimization. The ideal Sr Business Analyst    is ultra curious and possesses a strong reporting and analytics background and a genuine passion for data. They need to be able to think strategically about the business needs while always looking for new opportunities to solve business problems with data-driven tools . This position reports to Sr. Manager , Digital Planning, Strategy & Process . This role will be required to work from our downtown Seattle office 3x/week.A day in the life…

Leverage data and analytics to evaluate the digital business , strategizing ways to improve N.com business operations.

Use dat a visualization techniques to present findings and recommendations to a variety of business stakeholders.

Effectively collaborate with key stakeholder team s to understand analytics needs.

Design, build, manage, and evolve  business reviews and scorecards that stakeholders can rely on in their day-to-day decision making. 

Partner with Sr. Manager, Digital Planning to o ffer strategic guidance to Digital Merchandising teams on how to best leverage available tools and data , leading training sessions as needed.

Partner with Sr. Manager, Digital Planning to create “size of prize” business cases to drive prioritization with cross functional partners.

Develop new processes and ways of working as part of an evolving operating model and dynamic competitive landscape.

You own this if you have…

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative analytics discipline.

2+ years of corporate experience analyzing complex data, drawing conclusions and insight, and crafting data-driven stories and recommendations (online retail a plus)

Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.

Advanced Excel skills required. Some SQL/data querying and data visualization (Tableau) experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills ; ability to convey results to non- experts and experts alike

Desire to s eek to expand understanding of business domain, processes, data sources, and relevant key metrics

Ability to think strategically, assess key stakeholder requests, and advocate for data-driven solutions

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Experience in Retail Planning, Ecommerce, Digital Merch or Marketing is preferred
