Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Lead with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collection, and reconciliation. This role requires a deep understanding of construction billing practices, project accounting, progress billing, prevailing wage regulations, and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Responsibilities:Construction Billing:

Generate accurate and timely invoices based on project milestones, progress, and contractual terms.

Collaborate with project managers and other departments to obtain necessary documentation for billing.

Ensure compliance with project-specific billing requirements, including progress billing, and industry standards.

Progress Billing:

Implement and oversee progress billing procedures, ensuring invoices align with project milestones and completion percentages.

Coordinate with project managers to accurately reflect the work completed and milestones achieved in billing documents.

Ensure adherence to progress billing standards and industry best practices.

Prevailing Wage Compliance:

Stay informed and ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations for applicable projects.

Collaborate with HR and project management teams to accurately calculate and apply prevailing wage rates.

Maintain detailed records to demonstrate compliance with prevailing wage requirements.

Accounts Receivable Management:

Lead the accounts receivable team in monitoring and managing customer accounts.

Implement and enforce credit policies to minimize delinquencies and bad debt.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner.

Collections:

Oversee the collection process, establishing and maintaining relationships with clients to expedite payment.

Strategize and implement effective collection strategies while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Regularly review aging reports and initiate appropriate actions to recover outstanding balances.

Reconciliation:

Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.

Reporting:

Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Present regular updates on the status of accounts receivable to management.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts receivable function.

Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
