Hansell Tierney is helping our client with their search for a
Data Engineer. Location: Local Duration: 6 month contract to hireDescription:This team manages a Student Information System (SIS), several Learning Management Systems (LMS), and dozens of classroom and operational systems with a range of responsibilities from training, support, solution architecture, data integrations, minor and major customizations, and in-house custom applications (analysis, design, development, and testing).Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- 5+ years experience with SQL
- Experience with data modeling and ETL development
- Experience designing and developing scheduled reports and extracts with SQL and/or Python
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
- 8+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role
- 2+ years of experience as a technical lead or similar role
- Experience with Python database libraries such as SQLAlchemy and Pandas
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience with SQL Server Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
