Join Snapology, the globally recognized children's hands-on STEAM enrichment program, and become part of a mission-driven team that fosters creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in children aged 3-14. Our programs are designed based on proven research, ensuring that children have fun while learning through creating, designing, interacting, and inventing using engaging kits like LEGO and K'NEX.

Position:

Summer camps run every week from June 17 to August 30. As a Snapology Summer Assistant Instructor, you'll work with the Lead Instructor to inspire and educate students in our summer STEAM camps on science, tech, art, culture and more, while ensuring they have fun and enjoy their time with us. You'll collaborate with Snapology leadership, represent the organization professionally to parents and children, and witness the impact of your work firsthand.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Assist in leading groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities

- Instruct and monitor students, ensuring the effective use of learning materials and equipment

- Maintain discipline and enforce rules and procedures in alignment with Snapology standards

- Handle parent inquiries with professionalism

- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required

Qualifications:

- Current Criminal and Child Clearances

- 1+ years of experience working with children in camps

- High school students or older preferred

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- Punctuality and reliability

Programs and Timing:

Summer camps run from June 17 through August 30; camps are about 1.5-7 hours in length (typically 3 – 7 hours per day) and occur between 9am–4pm Monday-Friday

Other:

This Summer position is based in Seattle's eastside, covering areas such as Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, and others. Own transportation is required for carrying and storing supplies. Candidates should be prepared to commit to a minimum of 5 weeks of the period outlined in the "Programs and Timing" section.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.28 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week

Candidates must have driver's license and a reliable transportation to get to camp location.

Classroom management: 1 year (Preferred)
