JPC Architects is looking for a Staff Accountant JPC Architects is the leading corporate interiors and architecture firm in the Pacific Northwest. We have celebrated over 30 years in business, growing to a staff of 70 talented team members. As the Staff Accountant, you will partner closely with our Controller. We are looking for a candidate who produces precise, consistent work. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable candidate looking to grow their technical expertise, while being recognized and supported by management. This position will be full-time (40 hours/week). Responsibilities Bank deposits Assisting with month-end close Preparing monthly invoices that are sent to clients Processing of bi-weekly payroll and associated journal entries Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Serve as backup for accounts payable Maintain vendor and client files Prepare 1099 year-end tax forms for vendors & submit to IRS Other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience3-5 years of general ledger experience preferred 1-3 years of billing and receivables experience in a professional services environment preferred Strong foundational knowledge of GAAP and audit processes Moderate Excel background preferred Impeccable attention to detail Strong analytical skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize multiple projects efficiently Strong communication and interpersonal skillsQualifications We work hard and have fun doing it.
