Mechanical Engineer

Description:As a Mechanical Engineer you will participate in making history designing and building a Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. This will be a one of a kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from WWII and Cold War plutonium production into a state that is safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect and insure the safety of near by river systems, communities, and wildlife throughout the northwest. - Designing the fluid and gas systems in the plant - Preparing technical reports and studies/design documentation, performing calculations using engineering software, and preparing specifications for complex mechanical equipment for the waste treatment process and supporting systems. - Process system design and will be capable of developing design documents, including piping and instrument diagrams and equipment data sheets, that incorporate the applicable design requirements, including nuclear safety requirementsSkills:Mechanical design, gas system, piping design, p&id, Design, Mechanical, Drafting, fluid system, Mechanical engineeringTop Skills Details:Mechanical design,gas system,piping design,p&idAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications - Engineer-in-Training or PE License in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering - Experience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQU-1, MIL-Q-9858A or ISO-9000 - Prior experience working with Government agencies, preferably DOE or DODExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
