Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Production Asset and Equipment Engineers for 737 Production support. Our production system is constantly reviewed for safety, quality and flow improvements, as well as new technology. Several new engineers are needed to support production system improvements to safely produce quality aircraft parts in a reliable manner, every time.A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics, safety, and equipment services, and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.Our Teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-Level & Senior Production Asset Engineers.Primary Responsibilities:This is a Production Asset development, implementation, and improvement role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment concepts and designs solutions for the Production System: Examples include custom hydraulic/pneumatic systems and test equipment, ventilation blowers, airplane entry stands and jacks, airplane ground support equipment, and PLC controlled drive vehicles.

Create and revise engineering drawings (AutoCAD/Inventor) and documentation for new and existing equipment.

Assist maintenance mechanics in trouble-shooting and repair of equipment.

Collaborate with production to design and implement engineering equipment solutions to production issues involving safety, quality, and efficiency.

Project management: Oversee budget and schedule to deliver equipment solutions on time and on budget.

Ensures equipment compliance with safety, reliability, ergonomics and regulatory requirements.

Work Authorization Statement:The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry. (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard)

Minimum 1 year of experience working in an engineering discipline

Minimum 1 year of experience with production systems in a manufacturing or engineering capacity

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Mid-Level)

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Senior Level)

3 or more years of experience working in an Equipment or Tool or Production Asset Engineering role

3 or more years of experience working in a production environment

Project Management Knowledge

Comfortable and willing to interact extensively with customers, engineers, management and maintenance craftspersons.

Hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components

Basic electrical controls knowledge: electric motor control, relays, process sensors, and operator interface components such as push-buttons, indicators, and display meters.

2D/3D CAD proficiency: AutoCAD/Inventor/Solidworks

Machine design and fabrication: Engineering design of custom electro-mechanical machinery or sub-components

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Associate (level 2): $81,600- $110,400

Mid-Level (level 3): $96,050- $129,950

Senior (level 4): $118,150- $159,850
