Workforce Development provides job coaching, skills development, and transportation to individuals with disabilities. Collaborating with employers, we seek to remove workplace barriers and create opportunities for our clients in the Bremerton, Silverdale and Bainbridge Island areas. This position may transition into a Full-time employment.

Your Role: The Employment Consultant provides job development services to people who experience disabilities, including pre-vocational work, employment planning, and job development. You will be held accountable for the placement of clients into community based jobs per agreements with funding agencies. Outcomes and impact will be the main indicator of success in this position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service - Develops relationships, teaches & trains clients in job search tools & strategies, and coordinates job coaching and long-term follow-along support.

Marketing & Community Relations - Markets client strengths & skills to employers, coaches businesses in ADA issues, accommodations & natural supports, presents awareness of disability rights, and has a knowledge of emerging disability employment trends.

Program Development/Fiscal Accountability - Maintains client records & documentation, develops contractual agreements with funding partners, and provides clear and accurate billing &/or reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED (required)

Associates Degree in health, social services or related field (preferred)

2+ years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities to achieve employment outcomes (preferred)

Private transportation to use on the job, current WA Driver's License and auto insurance

Skilled in MS Office applications and navigating the internet
