Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.The RoleManages a team responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of critical sales data. Create and maintain measurement guidelines tracking performance across applications and products. Directs employees in the performance of advanced data management activities resulting in daily/monthly release of global sales performance. Analyze data and create controls for adherence to sales reporting guidelines. Contributes to the long-term strategic planning of sales reporting with finance and business leaders. Responsible for process improvement and overall sales reporting function.The Main Responsibilities
Drive people, processes, and infrastructure of data that measure end-to-end sales activities.
Maintain business rules translating into requirements with technical partners that are applied into corporate data warehouse.
Plan and drive technical development projects with IT partners including design, testing, and monthly releases.
Direct the design and completion of complex contract reviews and financial analysis of data to help assess sales recognition credit.
Design and direct multiple projects to improve processes and procedures while documenting existing processes.
Direct the review of customer contracts and financial analysis on complicated sales issues.
Ensure accuracy of results by oversight of sales credit adjustment process, tickets, and reporting.
Drives continuous improvement in the end-to-end sales recognition process including SOV (Sales order value) interface to SAP Commissions.
Maintain and develop reporting capabilities with Business Intelligence support team.
Innovate and adapt sales recognition strategy to align with Lumen's North Star Strategy
What We Look For in a CandidateMotivated and creative thinker with outstanding analytical skills. Data management skills working with large volumes of data in complex operating environment. A strong communicator with business partnering background and a proven track record at building relationships with stakeholders. Strong technical competencies. Strong interpersonal communications skills across all levels of management both verbal and written. Telecom/Technology industry experience preferred. Ability to strictly enforce policy and refine procedures. Project management skills and vision for process improvements.
5+ years of experience managing teams and financial close processes.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Technology)
Competencies working with sales-related software for CRM (Salesforce.com), quoting, ERP, and order entry systems.
Experience with analytic and business intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau, Essbase, SAC).
Sales reporting and compensation experience working with large Enterprise sales teams
Understanding of relational data and analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI or Power Query.
