Description Communicates with internal and external individuals to obtain information, resolve issues, and maximize reimbursements for services. Monitors accounts to ensure correct reimbursement is received. Work closely with the manager and supervisors in formulating and implementing departmental objectives. Responsibilities: Claims follow-up, status, and appeals via online web portal or outbound calls to various insurance companies and Medicare. Performs verification as assigned. Responds to inquiries regarding patient accounts with appropriate and accurate information in a detail oriented manner. Assist Patient Access Representatives with onsite patients for collections purposes. Provide backup phone coverage to Customer Service Requirements Three years of experience in medical billing, registration or collection. NextGen EPM software experience is a plus.
