Experienced Carpenter

Alderwood Builders LLC is a Veteran owned, Bellingham-based general contractor specializing in remodels and additions. We have immediate openings for experienced carpenters to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is reliable, has strong communication skills, and the ability to work as a team member, as well as work independently.

Responsibilities:

Interact with team members and clients in a professional manner.

Arrive on time to each project site.

Load and unload necessary equipment and materials.

Review plans and blueprints to ensure you understand the scope of the project.

Communicate with other construction team members to ensure accuracy of tasks.

Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project.

Perform all aspects of carpentry including framing, windows, doors, cladding systems, and finish carpentry.

Safely operate and maintain tools.

Maintain a clean safe work area.

Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines.

Requirements:

Preferred 3 + years of experience in residential construction.

Preferred to know how to read and interpret blueprints.

Pass background check (drug and alcohol screen).

Posses valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Have own hand-tools.

Have cell phone.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay DOE - $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
