Property Manager
Washington, Bellingham, 98225 Bellingham USAWe are seeking a hardworking Property Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of a set of properties. You would be one of three Property Managers. Property Managers are responsible for ensuring the properties they manage are well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and all legal and regulatory requirements are met. This is a crucial role in our organization, requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of real estate and asset management.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and tenant relations
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure they are in compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Advertise and market available units to attract prospective tenants
- Screen potential tenants by conducting background checks, credit checks, and verifying references
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary documents are completed accurately
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance work with contractors and vendors
- Enforce lease terms and regulations to maintain a safe and peaceful living environment for tenants
- Stay updated on local rental market trends, fair housing regulations, and other relevant industry developments
Skills:
- Real Estate Broker license is a plus. We are also a Real Estate office, and you would be expected to hang your license with us if you choose to continue to practice as a Broker.
-Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in using property management software, Appfolio is a plus but not required
- Excellent understanding of fair housing regulations and laws governing landlord-tenant relationships
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent phone etiquette
- Customer relationship management skills to build positive relationships with tenants and address their needs promptly
- Experience in property maintenance management and working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus but not required
- Ability to negotiate contracts, resolve conflicts, and handle difficult situations professionally

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year, DOE + performance based bonuses
