Our work depends on Training Specialist joining our team to deliver complex technical and tactical training to sailors enrolled in courses taught at Surface Combat Systems Training Command-Hampton Roads (SCSTC-HR), Virginia Beach, Virginia.HOW A TRAINING SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT• Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel• Utilize exceptional customer skills to conduct traditional classroom instruction and support technical and tactical laboratory training• Work as team to identify learning gaps and train enlisted sailors in the maintenance, operation and employment of the NSSMS, associated sub-systems, and system capabilities and limitations• Work as a team to complete customer deadlines which may have competing/shifting priorities• Provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for SCSTC-HR courses supporting the employment of the NSSMS• Conduct dynamic assessment of the sailors' abilities to comply with approved maintenance and operational procedures and thereafter provides formal appraisal of performance with recommendations for improvement and methods to maintain technical and tactical proficiencyWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:• Required Experience: Five (5) years of experience with the NSSMS as either a maintenance technician or operator with responsibility for teaching NSSMS to others in a journeyman level training environment.
