Apartment Maintenance Lead Technician
Virginia, Richmond, 23234 Richmond USAWe are seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician with strong HVAC repair expertise to join our team and assume a leadership role within our maintenance division. Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on HVAC diagnostics, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance
Oversee and mentor maintenance staff, providing technical direction and training
Respond to work orders efficiently while ensuring timely, high-quality resolutions
Manage and prioritize daily maintenance workflow
Conduct routine inspections of apartment homes and building systems
Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general property upkeep
Ensure safety standards, compliance, and property quality are consistently met
Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of HVAC repair experience (EPA certification required)
Proven experience in residential or multifamily maintenance
Demonstrated leadership ability or prior lead/supervisory experience
Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades
Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision
