Industrial Mechanic

Rebound Industrial Maintenance is a leading provider of maintenance and repair for manufacturing and power generation customers in Central VA and the Mid Atlantic region.

The Position: Excellent position in busy mechanical repair machine shop. Under the direction of the Shop Foreman, and reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, the Industrial Mechanic/Millwright will provide general mechanical support for a wide variety of mechanical inspection, tear down/rebuild projects.

Hours: This position is full time. Normal working hours will be between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM Monday – Friday, however, may include overtime as business needs warrant.

Working Conditions: Duties will primarily be performed within the machine shop facility. Additional on-site field work may be required.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tear down and rebuild of pumps, valves, compressors and other mechanical components; enjoy fast paced and variable work scopes; and possess a desire to work with the best in the business.

General duties will include (but are not limited to):

Perform general machine shop duties as directed.

Operation of fork truck and other general moving equipment.

Follow written and verbal instructions for job specifications.

Assist in preparing completed work for shipping.

Assist in receiving job related supplies and materials.

Perform QA checks and logs as required.

General preventive maintenance of machine shop equipment.

Perform general housekeeping duties.

Performance of duties in an efficient and timely manner in order to meet on-time delivery requirements.

General duties as required.

Qualifications: 3 plus years’ experience in machine shop/mechanical environment preferred. Basic knowledge of machine shop practices preferred, well versed in safe work practices. Experience with hand tools and power equipment is mandatory.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent, with additional related education preferred. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, background and MVR checks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
