Technical Artist - Rendering
Virginia, Richmond, 23234 Richmond USASummary: A Technical Artist is the key to bridging the gaps between artists and engineers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Artist Lead to join our Metaverse Technical Art team. In this role, you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of artists and engineers to enhance the delight, representation, and appeal of our Avatars across the Metaverse.If you're a skilled communicator, passionate about the intersection of technology and digital identity, and excited to contribute to a dynamic work environment, come be part of our journey!Required Skills: Technical Artist - Rendering Responsibilities:
Drive technical art efforts in close partnership with artists, engineers, and product managers to deliver high quality visual content within performance budgets.
Collaborate with artists and engineers to develop and implement high-quality real-time shaders and rendering techniques.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, educating partners on topics around shading and rendering.
Help coordinate strategy, priorities, and execution across multiple simultaneous projects
Identify opportunities for the team to enhance workflows and improve products via the creation of tools and systems within our proprietary pipeline and engine
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in real-time rendering.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise at understanding inner workings of a real-time game engine, specifically graphics pipeline.
Experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques.
Experience shipping products in a professional environment with stringent runtime performance constraints.
Experience working on multiple platforms.
Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, producers, and artists.
Experience in real-time content authoring (characters/environments/VFX/animation/lighting).
Experience with shader languages (GLSL, ShaderLab, HLSL).
Proven communication and collaboration skills.
