Contribute during early-stage project development with respect to EPC contract execution and site development / permitting support (land, air, water, state, local, federal, etc.). Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and vendors. Supports the development, execution, and commissioning of the project, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and innovation in project management processes and practices. Involved in major complex generation projects focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) typically exceeding $50M per project. Support to ensure advancement and growth of Energy Storage Program through project development, construction and commissioning. Supports the management of specific portions of project scope, budget and schedule and can provide accurate, concise updates to management. Support field team to ensure EPC contract is appropriately implemented, and project is constructed to efficiently provide to our Operations team.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceMinimum 7 years' experience in project management in a relevant field (energy or large industrial projects), minimum 2 years of experience managing or leading budgets and project schedules. Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications This position will focus on, but is not limited to, the construction of BESS projects. Experience with projects where civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering/management skills were utilized. Experience with substation interconnection, distribution, and transmission. Knowledge and experience with SCADA systems and IT related software. Possess leadership skills with a project team or multiple teams. Effective negotiating skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities. Strong problem-solving skills are necessary. Skilled in implementing and managing new construction and/or improvement projects. Strong team building skills. Ability to develop, manage, and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules. Ability to resolve technical problems and implement changes. Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
