Eligibility for Company matching 401K benefit after 3 months. Position Overview: Oversees a concrete crew working on job site, making sure work is compliant with installation and safety standards. Manages field operations with a focus on safety, compliance, efficiency, cost management and innovation. Manages construction activities to ensure company procedures are followed and compliance is maintained relative to all applicable local, state, and federal requirements.Essential Functions:

Supervises an asphalt crew, rendering hands-on assistance.

Train crew members in accordance with company safety policies

Responsible for completing required paperwork on a daily basis.

Oversees all work that involves placing concrete, asphalt and sod as needed.

Responsible for crews erecting barricades, cones and warning signs around work site to protect workers from street traffic.

Assist in loading and unloading equipment.

Operating shovels, gas tamps, jack hammers, and mini excavator.

Monitor progress of crew to ensure satisfactory job completion, keeping construction progress in line with overall project schedule and cost estimate.

Exposed to extreme cold and heat (depending upon the weather)

Working 8 to 10 hours a day with some weekend work, hours may vary.

Must be willing to travel at any given time; possibly up to 2 weeks at a time.

Qualifications:Education Required: 4 year post secondary education, or equivalent experience.Experience High school diplomaPreferred: At least (1) year of foreman experience. (3) years prior asphalt experience. (1) year of operating experience of a mini excavator. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. A strong work ethic and willing to work in a team environment.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
