Senior Manager, Product Management - Strategy & Operations

Drive creation of longer-term integrated OneTeam strategy and roadmap, in partnership with product, design, and engineering leaders, ensuring we maintain a broader enterprise and external market lens
Lead regular cadence of strategic planning and leadership alignment (e.g., monthly business reviews, quarterly syncs, annual planning sessions), being sure to interpret data/trends and continually orient team towards highest leverage opportunities
Drive continued development of OneTeam associate engagement strategy (with help from existing Culture and Community pod) to help deliver on our talent imperatives
Product operations
Drive continued excellence for the product management function and implement key initiatives to continually raise bar on what great looks like, including product discovery, goaling, roadmap planning, prioritization, budgeting, and reviews (leveraging Elevate Product processes where possible)
Drive OneTeam operating model, in partnership with operations leads across design and engineering organizations, including PI planning, retrospectives, demo days, and business reviews
Drive a culture of excellence by establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting out to broader set of stakeholders
Draft decks, communications, newsletter inputs, and other HR Product related assets to showcase impact and drive continued stakeholder engagement
Cross-organizational coordination
Partner horizontally with other operations leads/ chiefs of staff to support events/meetings/initiatives, gather inputs and feedback, and participate in recognition ceremonies
Represent HR OneTeam in eHR-wide coordination and prioritization forums (e.g., HR Activate forum) and coordinate relevant cross-team initiatives and interdependencies
As needed, offer other ad-hoc consulting or operational support to major chief of staff projects or organizational needs/opportunities
In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas:Human Centered
You’ll lead sourcing and synthesis of customer discovery efforts to understand customer needs to drive the long term vision for your product
You’ll turn these customer insights into actionable strategies that will define the priorities for your team and rally your stakeholders to your vision
Business Focused
You’ll own and prioritize the long-term (12-18 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that and your team will be successful
You’ll define KPIs for your product and will be responsible for measuring and tracking to those measures, with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates
Technology Driven
You’ll have an end-to-end understanding of your product and how it fits into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business
You’ll work closely with tech leadership and architecture to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and how they impact the ultimately customer experience your team will deliver always looking to ensure you’re using the best tool for the job

You’ll be responsible for attracting and retaining top talent to your team and mentoring and developing associates on their product career

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in digital product management
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
MBA or Master’s degree
3+ years of experience in Agile product management
Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
3+ years of experience in HR/talent software-as-a-service

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $199,100 - $227,200 for Sr. Mgr, Product ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
