The below job descriptionprovides details on how this role will help to serve our clients.The Red Gate Group is seeking a skilled Knowledge Managerto support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA.As a Knowledge Manager on our team,you will take the lead in supporting the development and maintenance of KM systems, processes, and tools. You will assist in the creation of KM roadmaps to enhance operational efficiencies, promote collaboration, and ensure the continuous improvement of knowledge sharing across the organization.In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that knowledge assets are leveraged effectively, and you will create, edit, and maintain various deliverables, including user guides, technical documentation, and reports. You will also play a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of knowledge resources, utilizing industry best practices and supporting the overall KM strategy.
3+ years of experience in a professional knowledge management work environment
Experience with developing technical manuals, procedures, or user guides
Experience with developing and maintaining SharePoint, Confluence, or Strapi, site collections
Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite and KM fundamentals and tools
Knowledge of KM principles, procedures, and processes in a DoD environment
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working alongside analysts, developers, and subject matter experts
Experience working as a technical writer or editor in a technology or IT field
Experience with developing, executing, or updating a content strategy
Experience with Content Management Systems
Knowledge of software applications
Ability to pay strict attention to detail
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
