Description
Job Description: The Defense Group of Leidos has an immediate opening in a fast paced operations and development lab environment supporting a 24x7x365 Research and Development community. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering support for a Configuration Management solution currently being spec'd out for a Software Development Customer. This effort will include requirements gathering, technical planning, implementation, operations, customer support, and migration efforts to replace the current CM system. The candidate will be responsible for installation and configuration of the selected CM products to include Gitlab software repository and Atlassian Jira products, workflow design, instantiation of operating procedures, service level agreements and customer interaction. Candidate should have hands on Linux and Microsoft experience, including COTs and GOTS software installation and operations and will work with the Data Center team and customers to ensure operational integrity of the systems, as well as, to provide solutions for the Data Center. Candidate will be expected to interact with the team, customers, Government COR and Government PM and will play a role in architectural and design decisions. Candidates must be able to articulate the impact of technical decisions to leadership, management and customers (including government and military personnel). Primary Responsibilities:- Experience with Configuration Management Systems Engineering.
- Gitlab and Jira experience.
- Installation, configuration and operations of Linux and Microsoft systems and products.
- Installation, configuration and operations of workflows and applications to support customer needs.
- Provide health monitoring of systems, storage and networking.
- Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) review and implementation.
- Assist customers with issues involving every aspect of Configuration.
- Assist with Management and Data Center operations.
- Prepare and update documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures, system As-Builts and training materials.
- BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters degree and 6+ of relevant working experience additional years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must have Security+ (or equivalent) certification.
- Must have relevant vendor certification such a Red Hat or Microsoft.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience with Configuration Management software and processes.
- Red Hat Linux engineering experience (or equivalent).
- Microsoft operations experience.
- Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) review and implementation.
- PowerShell scripting experience a plus.
- Storage implementation and management a plus.
